The TEB Cooperative Group has closed its 60th anniversary commemoration in an event at Sala Paralel 62 in Barcelona, which gathered more than 600 people. The day, presided over by Josep Rull, combined emotion and vindication, with a clear commitment to a more inclusive and accessible society.
The day has highlighted the premiere of the song We are capable (Capable of everything), with recognized artists and people from the TEB group.
During the event, different audiovisual pieces were screened that have reviewed the entity's trajectory and have focused on current and future challenges. This journey has served to reinforce TEB's commitment to social innovation and the improvement of the quality of life for people with intellectual disabilities.
During the celebration, the video Mission: accessibility was presented, which advocates for the incorporation of easy reading into institutions. The president of the Parliament, Josep Rull, has stated that "the Parliament has to be exemplary if we want society to be so" and has committed to promoting concrete measures this very year.
The president of the TEB group, Manuel Morales, has highlighted the origin of the project, born from seven families and its growth to date, emphasizing the need to continue advancing in "inclusive productivity". During the event, Mariona Sellés, a worker from the Center, expressed her desire to build a society with fewer barriers.
The celebration included a round table on cooperativism and social economy led by Laia Soldevilla, from El Crític, and Laia Bonastra, president of the Confederation of Cooperatives of Catalonia, participated; the general director of Social and Solidarity Economy and Cooperativism of the Department of Business and Work David Bonheví. Also present was Xavier Trabado, president of the Taula del Tercer Sector, who highlighted the TEB model as key for the impact and consolidation of TEB.
The event was hosted by Pep Callau, together with presenters from TEB and has been totally inclusive, featuring sign language, live subtitles and vibrating backpacks, reinforcing TEB's commitment to real inclusion.
