The Spanish company Phergal has announced obtaining the B Corp™ certification, an international recognition that distinguishes companies that meet high standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and legal accountability, verified by the independent organization B LabWith this accreditation, the company becomes part of the global community of B Corp™ companies, made up of more than 6,000 companies from more than 150 sectors and nearly 80 countries, all of them committed to business models that seek to balance economic profitability and positive impact on society and the environment.The certification process involves passing the B Impact Assessment, a comprehensive analysis that evaluates corporate management in areas such as governance, labor conditions, community relations, environmental impact, and customer management. Likewise, certified companies must assume legal commitments that incorporate the consideration of all stakeholders in decision-making, in addition to periodically publishing their results to ensure transparency and continuous improvement
The attainment of the B Corp™ seal is not permanent, as companies must undergo periodic reviews to maintain certification, which requires the constant updating of their social and environmental policies and practices.
