Esencias Moles EMSA, a leading company in the creation of essences for the perfumery sector, assumes a leading role in the Barcelona Olfaction Week 2026 (BOW 2026) of the Beauty Cluster, which is held from May 18 to 24. An event that reinforces Barcelona as the epicenter of culture, art, and perfumery.
In this scenario, the company in collaboration with Aromas Fenpal, has designed an exclusive olfactory itinerary for the Palau Güell, the emblematic modernist palace by Antoni Gaudí. The project focuses on the creation of different fragrances to scent each of its spaces and accompany the visitor's journey through an olfactory proposal linked to the original function of each room.
“We want to incorporate scent as an element that accompanies the user's visit and allows for a deeper understanding of the history of Palau Güell through the power of fragrances,” explains Dolors Fargas, Marketing Manager of EMSA Esencias Moles.
This initiative allows for the incorporation of a sensory dimension to the visit, expanding the way in which the visitor relates to the building.
EMSA Esencias Moles joins this initiative along with other leading companies in the sector to contribute to making Barcelona an international meeting point for olfactory culture and creation during BOW 2026. A proposal that highlights the talent, innovation, and perfumery tradition of the city.
Olfactory itinerary designed by EMSA Esencias Moles
The itinerary incorporates different olfactory compositions created to accompany some of the most representative rooms of Palau Güell, such as:
- Stables: Formerly intended for the access of carriages and horses, this space is accompanied by the fragrance Pell d’Ambre
(amber, oud, cedar and leather) a more intense and enveloping composition, inspired by noble materials, dark textures, and deep atmospheres. - Smoking Room: Originally conceived as a space for meeting and conversation, it incorporates the essence of Fum Noble (sandalwood, vetiver, tobacco, vanilla and amber), a fragrance with drier and warmer notes that evokes the sophistication and reserved atmosphere of this type of lounges.
- Visiting Room: Designed to receive guests in a more intimate and domestic setting, this room is interpreted through the perfume Ritual de Tocador (iris, ylang, violet, jasmine, musk) a more delicate and intimate proposal linked to daily rituals and personal care.
- Central Hall: As one of the most representative and ceremonial spaces of the building, the central hall is accompanied by the perfume Encens Solemne (cognac, incense, myrrh, tonka bean, sandalwood, cinnamon), a composition conceived to reinforce the monumentality and symbolic dimension of the room.
This olfactory experience can be visited by anyone interested in discovering it from May 16 to 24 inside the building, from 10:00 to 19:00.
