The Government of the Generalitat, through ACCIÓ, the agency for business growth of the Department of Business and Labor, makes available to Catalan companies with a presence in the Middle East a channel to resolve their doubts and incidents regarding the war conflict in the region. Through the Technical Office for Barriers to Internationalization, ACCIÓ responds in less than 48 hours to the doubts and problems of companies in areas such as logistics, operations, or the movement of workers. Affected companies can get in touch here.

ACCIÓ is monitoring the situation in the Middle East to analyze the disruptions that may alter the operations of Catalan companies in the region. As a result of the armed conflict, the area has closed its airspace and all flights to the Middle East have been suspended, and maritime freight transport routes have been diverted. In any case, the agency's recommendation is that companies do not travel to the area and that they contact their clients and distributors in the region.

According to ACCIÓ's calculations, Catalan companies export goods worth 2,537 million euros to the Middle East, 2.5% of the total exported worldwide, especially to the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Israel, which account for more than 75% of the region's sales. Catalonia mainly exports perfumery and cosmetics (16% of the total), machinery (10%9, electrical material (6.2%), plastics (5.7%) fuels (5.3%) and pharmaceutical products (5.2%).
