The Swiss group Galderma fattens its brand portfolio. The dermatological laboratory Galderma Group has reached an agreement with Blackstone Tactical Opportunities and the Obagi family to acquire 100% of the American firm specializing in skin care ZO Skin Health for an enterprise value of 1.34 billion euros in an all-cash transaction that it expects to close in the last quarter of this year or early 2027.
This acquisition adds to the flagship brands 'Cetaphil' and 'Alastin' and consolidates its position as a reference partner for dermatologists, plastic surgeons and aesthetic professionals, the company indicated.
Fleming Ornskov, CEO of Galderma, explained the value of this new brand in the group: "This acquisition represents an important step towards creating the world's most innovative portfolio of dermatological products, strengthening our offering in an area where we already have significant capabilities."
ZO Skin Health was founded by dermatologist Zein Obagi and has registered net sales of approximately 295 million euros in the last 12 months up to June 2026. The brand manufactures in the United States and markets through a network of more than 16,000 doctors, medical spas, points of sale and does so through e-commerce in more than 40 countries.
